Tip of the week: Do not try and teach people how to squat while wearing jeans. Guess it's time to try some of those new "athletic" jeans. I'm tired of wearing jeans that barely fit my quads, too big for the waist, and obviously don't fit the glutes. #GluteProblems #quads -]]]------]]]- #AHAP #STALTA #ZeroFG #Strongman #StrongmanWOD #Crossfit #HybridAthlete #CrossfitBytown #LivingTheDream #LookFeelPerformBetter
I have been around the block long enough to have tried most types of gym clothing. I have found my Lululemons the most practical for my gym shorts. Gym clothes, I know what I like. Normal people clothes, I dress like a hobo. Nothing fits properly, pants being some of the worst. I can never buy pants by sizing, I always have to try them on. It is not just women who have booty issues.
The process is usually like this. I am told by my wife that I need to wear non gym clothes for some occasion with a bunch of people that want to judge each other on their uncomfortable clothing. I don’t have anything, so I need to go shopping. I hate shopping. When I do find a pant store, my wife finds appropriate pants and I try them on. Usually I can’t get them much past my knees. I exchange for a bigger size. I can get them on, but if I drop my wallet I need to ask someone to pick it up for me. I exchange for a bigger size. I can squat pretty comfortable, but I now need suspenders to hold them up because the waist is too big.
I don’t actually know what my waist size is because I am always buying to fit my legs and butt, instead of my waist. I had heard some good things about people in a more proper work environment that they were the most comfortable dress pants they have ever worn. This intrigued me as I normally don’t associate comfortable and dress pants. I read up on them. Apparently ABC stands for anti ball crushing. Never had that problem. Ever. A solution to a problem I didn’t even know I had. Perhaps not the best named pant, but definitely the most comfortable. This coming from a guy who finds sweat pants restrictive. The longer I wore the pants, the more I liked them.
Lightweight, super stretchy, like feel like you are wearing man tights comfortable. If you have never worn man tights, you have no idea what you are missing. I feel like I could bike to the gym, do a workout, and then go for a run in them. The pants are a little thin, so If you tend to jam your pockets full of junk its going to be pretty apparent to everyone else as well.
At the time I purchased mine there wasn’t the best selection of colour. Black, Slate, Mustard, Green, Purple. Why they would make them in such brutal colours are beyond me, perhaps a hipster thing. Those things usually are. I bought the black and the slate. After a couple weeks wearing them I definitely prefer the slate. The black actually look too dressy. I have a certain image to maintain and don’t want people thinking I’m wearing dress pants everyday. Apparently there are new colours being released very soon.
These pants are insanely comfortable. Like if I had to wear one pair of pants for the rest of my life, these would be them. I can’t remember the last time I could wear a pair of pants without a belt, could actually get into my truck without having to hike up my right pant leg, and worrying about pulling up the legs of my pants every time I have to squat down.
This is the first time I have reviewed a piece of clothing, definitely not the last.
Yours in health,
