I heard a great analogy for calories the other day that can help people who are counting calories and need some help. Think of calories as cash you get paid on Friday. If you go out and spend all your money at the bars and shopping all weekend, you are gonna have to spend less during the week or you will go broke in no time. Some days will be higher expenses, some days will be trying to save every cent to stretch it until next Friday. Starting your count on Friday makes you more accountable for what you do on the weekend, as we all tend to spend more during the weekend than the weekday.
